Crux Flatiron Building Paintworks Bristol

We were asked by Crux Product Design to capture images of their outstanding new building purpose built in the Paintworks, Bristol for their new website launch and brand identity. These images we captured at the height of the first Covid lockdown with an eerie stillness in the air and the sun rapidly setting, we created in-camera light trails using an e-bike and small head-torches and lit the interiors with portable battery lights.

With the camera fixed in one position and tethered to a laptop it took multiple passes on the e-bike to achieve the desired light trails. As is often the case with in-camera photography effects the first goes at it were often the best result although we shot multiple layers to give us flexibility in post-production.

The Profoto battery packs lit the interior and syncs performed well despite being well inside the property.
